Information Communications Technology

The Academy is equipped with a large number of computers on a single, high specification network. Students are expected to become responsible and discerning users of ICT confident and able to use computers to communicate with others and support their learning in a variety of ways. Teachers will use ICT as a resource for information, as a means of teaching and demonstrating and also as a way of monitoring student progress.

Whilst it is not essential for students to have access to a computer at home, it will be advantageous to be able to access the Internet outside of the Academy so that students can continue to access Academy systems in support of their learning and this is a very important part of the Academy ethos.
