The vaccination programme has reduced the fear of Coronavirus and as a result the academy is not now operating in Year bubbles. We cannot be complacent, and in the secondary phase, we will continue to ask pupils to wear face masks in communal areas or enclosed spaces with poor ventilation, for example in assemblies and dinner queues. We will keep this under review should there be national or local outbreaks and revised advice from public health officials.
The revised legislation regarding the Coronavirus means that children should continue to attend school as normal unless they themselves are displaying symptoms or have tested positive. Even if they live in the same household or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19. Bubbles or close contacts of pupils will no longer be sent home to self-isolate, this will significantly reduce the level of disruption to learning. We will continue to keep you updated through the Principal’s weekly updates on Social Media.
