We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our supportive and welcoming team at Alec Reed Academy. This is a rare but fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take their first steps in a rewarding career in education and is passionate about working with children.

This role is to work term-time only, plus Professional Development days. You will spend 80% of your time working for the Academy and 20% dedicated to off-the-job training and study at your chosen college/provider. Typical working hours will be Monday 08:15 - 15:45, Tuesday 08:15 - 16:15, Wednesday 08:15 - 16:00, Thursday 08:15 - 16:15 and Friday 08:15 - 15:30. 

Skills & Experience needed:

• The role involves working with the teachers, usually in the classroom, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
• GCSE Grade D-G or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
