We are passionate about helping all of our pupils reach their academic potential and be proud of their learning. As part of our MABLE programme, we help to support More Able pupils from Year 7 to 13 (both pastorally and academically) to thrive through a variety of different opportunities and learning environments.

When pupils join us in Year 7, we analyse the data from their Year 6 SATs tests, their reading age data and results from the Cognitive Ability Tests that are sat at the start of Year 7. Pupils with higher scores are identified as our MABLE cohort. To celebrate their inclusion, each student has been presented with a gold star badge to wear proudly on their lapel or lanyard. This badge not only symbolises their achievement but also helps staff, students, parents, and visitors easily identify our highest performing students. This data is reviewed for all year group at several points throughout the year.

Our MABLE programme is split into 5 key strands: Wider Curriculum, Attainment, Personal Support, Literacy Stretch and Pedagogy.
