Music provides an opportunity for students to identify, explore and refine their identity as human beings interacting with the wider world. Providing a space for students to experiment with making, creating, performing and recording music enables them to build their self-confidence; their ability to work independently and as part of a wider team; and their ability to develop and apply a wide range of inter-related cognitive skills.

Music is a popular subject at Alec Reed Academy, whether this is for students who want to perform on stage; create their own music in the studio; or showcase their skills as a technical expert.
